You 2

With day's bright light and moonlight's cooler shade
Doth I bedeck thee for my scrutiny,
But lo! Failst I to show thy darker trade
Intrusive eye's service turned a mutiny.

How dare I see thee and at once loose sight
Of what might be but humble human self?
Where thy abundance shows as well thy blight
Reveals and merely shortage of thy wealth!

Hence, may I turn when no one else is looking,
To See thyself but through my heart alone
And absent words speak of thy hooking,
Shaking, failing godforsaken bone.

When smiles stop hiding truer things to see
This is the time when my heart finds to thee.
